- Setup 3 planning meetings to discuss feasibility or how to start creating DOIs for every row in the Data Access table so we can use those in combination with MakeDataCount to track downloads?
- There are issues about how NBIA and other systems use and refer to DOIs that would be affected
- Even if we do have a Google Analytics solution this may be beneficial to ensure our usage is most visible to others in open-access systems like DataCite instead of only to our internal team or in custom TCIA dashboards.
- Update WP to generate a new DOI for each new Data Access row that is created and inform DataCite of the parent/child relationship to the main DOI with “IsPartOf” or similar
- Add counter stats from MakeDataCount into the Data Access table so users can see how many times each row has been downloaded. We would only track clicks for the actual file (not clicks to download related “Metadata” files we’ve just added)
