Currently XIP Host support XDS document query and retrieve (AIM XML etc.).
XDS DICOM would be a way to query and retrieve DICOM objects
Process description:
1. Not knowing PatientID we can go to PDQ and based on the local criteria we can learn about patient and its ID.
2. When querying, retrieving XDS documents we have different than DICOM criteria. e.g. Type of the document, what entity submitted the document etc.
3. PDQ, XDS registry
4. After query we may find out that there is only one document for the patient or possibly one DICOM document which is DICOM/Imaging manifest file. This manifest file references a set of many other DICOM related documents. We should query this manifest file before forming notifyDataAvailable() call. This way we could create appropriate number of ObjectDescriptors not just one (for manifest file). So first step would be to open manifest, then get DICOMs descriptions and then retrieve them.
