Evolve the AD application into a local, "offline" cache, where data collected from various repositories and sources, such as instances of NBIA, could be held for analysis when not connected to a network.
When data is retrieved from an external source, the data would be temporarily held in the cache, so that it need not be retrieved again if the user asks for it again.
If applications analyzing the data created new objects (e.g. AIM objects) while offline, the host would upload the new objects to the appropriate place once connectivity is restored. Meanwhile, the object would be used out of the cache while "offline".
